Welcome!

Welcome to the Camera Research In The Tucson Region (CRITTR) website! We are a collaborative team of wildlife researchers that monitors wildlife using a network of camera traps throughout southeastern Arizona. These camera traps are helping us to better understand wildlife populations and animal behavior that is otherwise difficult to observe, from the region's huge open spaces to the densest urban areas in Tucson. The resulting data set is being used to inform management decisions by local land and wildlife managers, help us learn more about local wildlife, and train students at the University of Arizona to become the next generation of wildlife biologists. The digital infrastructure you see here is maintained by the University of Arizona, but this effort also involves many other local organizations.
